Hello Tennis Coaches;
Just wanted to take light survey or get some responses on how any of your feel about high school mixed doubles.
Some schools in Texas and Colorado are already doing it, I'm told.
Most parts of Texas have the climate to support more types of teams tennis. That would also be true of Florida but, I am not sure if it is done there or not.
Is this offered in any of your schools around the country? I would support that here in Missouri if it were possible. The season could be either spring or summer and if the offer the traditional gender tennis in either fall or spring, we could use one of those seasons for mixed doubles.
The same students could not play in both which would give others who otherwise play other sports in those seasons a chance to try their hand in tennis.
This is just off the top of my head, however, I have been thinking about it for some time. I may have some more definitive ideas later.
Just wanted to hear what you all thought about it.
Thanks,
