Scrambling allows your wrestler to use his opponent's shot as his takedown. Coach Cody considers scrambling as the fourth line of defense - to be used when the opponent has gotten through your wrestler's hands and to his legs. Cody goes through a number of scrambling options for the following situations: High Crotch shots, single leg (both head on the inside and low leg) shots and double leg shots. He also covers an offensive scramble. These moves, if drilled repeatedly, will give your wrestlers another option to score -instead of giving up the points or hoping for a stalemate.

This is a very good instructional video. Scrambling is not taught enough in wrestling but it is essential for good wrestlers. Don't give up if things don't go perfect, scramble and make your own luck.
