Features & Benefits A "safe" way to score with the legs Contains five turns to score points every time Includes two pinning moves from the Crab Ride with Rob Koll,North Carolina Head Coach;Stanford Head Wrestling Coach from 2021 to 2023;Cornell University Head Coach from 1993 to 2021;2017 EIWA Coach of the Year;20x Ivy League Champions;2x NCAA Championship Team Runner-Up;2011 NWCA National Duals Champions;2005 NWCA Division I Coach of the Year;wrestled for North Carolina;1988 NCAA Champion;4x All-American;2x World Cup ChampionRob Koll presents a "safe" alternate to the conventional leg riding offense. When a wrestler throws in a conventional leg ride, there is a 50-50 chance that he can get bumped to his hip, giving his opponent a good chance to score an escape or reversal. With his opposite leg offense, Coach Koll shows how the inside position will keep your wrestler off his hip and in control, forcing the opponent to adjust to your wrestler instead of looking for a way out. Koll shows how to breakdown the opponent and the proper way to secure the opposite leg. Once in position, he breaks down five different ways to score back points or a fall. A two-time World Cup Champion, Koll perfected this move during his freestyle career, so he includes a Trap Arm Gut Wrench from the opposite leg that can be used in freestyle competition. Throughout his presentation Koll includes drills to help perfect the technique. Your wrestlers can execute the same moves from the conventional leg ride with the opposite leg offense, allowing them to adapt quickly to this new technique. Koll closes his presentation with a brief demonstration on the Crab Ride, showing the proper positioning for both the top and bottom position. These punishing rides will generate bonus points and wear out the opponent.45 minutes. 2006. Ratings & Reviews Rob Koll: Opposite Leg Offense & Crab Rides on April 21, 2013 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by Anonymous Loved this video. I taught the cross leg last week. The wrestlers loved it, as do I. Another great video from a great coach. This is the second Koll video I have purchased, and they never disappoint. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? He did a very few sets of moves and drills and repeated how to properly execute them. I did not have to back and rewind/play/rewind. What also was a big plus is that he gave plenty of examples what NOT to do and to be aware of. This was very good warnings for young and inexperienced wrestlers 2 of 3 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Keeps the kids off their hip and from getting to high. Effective with low risk. He uses a blanket type ride and Dave Schultz's bent leg turk series. It's worked very well for the Cornell guys. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful? Yes No Rob Koll: Opposite Leg Offense & Crab Rides on July 1, 2010 Currently 5/5 Stars.5/5 Stars 5 by KenClark686 I purchased this leg offense tape because I was so impressed with Rob's Whizzer Series and previous videos on Foot Sweeps. No surprises, Coach Koll nails it again with a stellar and very workable series on the opposite leg. Our wrestlers were able to immediately integrate the techniques and improve their overall game on top. Many times you're not quite sure what you're getting when you order video instruction. Koll's always a sure bet. 5 of 5 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?
