Former U.S. Olympic Freestyle Coach Kevin Jackson demonstrates the basic skills he feels are essential for all junior and senior level wrestlers to be successful in freestyle. In this tape, he covers three main areas: Tie-ups, set-ups, and leg laces. The drills and techniques demonstrated in this tape will help wrestlers develop good habits that they will take with them on the mat to become champions. Areas covered include collar ties, creating an angle, wrist/elbow control, 2-on-1, stance and position, down block, attacks/counter offense, snaps and rolls, and duck unders. A strong emphasis is placed on collar ties, down blocks, and counter offense.
