Distinguished member of the FILA International Wrestling Hall of Fame (2012); won 15 NCAA Championships and 21 straight Big Ten Titles as the University of Iowa head coach; as a wrestler, went undefeated in high school (IA) and won 2 NCAA titles at Iowa State University. Going on the "Attack, control, execute" philosophy, wrestling icon Dan Gable presents a number of great opportunities to earn back points and/or the fall from the standing position. Gable believes that for any wrestler to be successful, they must force the action. By doing that, you can move your opponent into position to score the fall, instead of just settling for two points. Gable covers more than 10 ways to turn your opponent to his back - turning your wrestler's defense into offense. Techniques covered include the Knee Tap, picks, Fireman's Carry, Near Arm/Far leg, Head Lock, as well as a number of options to score defensive pins. Awesome video! I had learned a lot from this dvd. Gable shows a wide variety of moves in this video, along with the attitude it takes to finish the moves and go for the pin. Helped me out greatly during the season, mainly the mental stuff. Stresses the detail for every move. Highly reccomend!
