In this systematic rolling progressions video, Chris Lamb shares more than 25 lead-up drills and variations. Coach Lamb begins with establishing the proper positioning on the floor in the fully extended position. He then progresses to the roll itself. Once a player is comfortable with the extension and roll, Lamb adds the proper moves required to quickly get the player back to their feet. Utilizing several unique drills and word-pictures that your players will clearly understand, he demonstrates the proper posture and set up position a player needs for executing the dig and roll. Lamb also shares lead-up techniques and teaching methodology for digging live balls. Lamb's system for teaching the roll is unique, systematic, fun you're your athletes, and most important, it WORKS!

This is great tape to learn how to present floor moves to your team in way that will extend their passing range and give them confidence to commit to "going over the floor" to get a ball. Some nice drills and breakdowns that I found very effective with my squads. A great value with some insightful and relevant ideas.
Rolling digs is a tough skill to teach since some players (especially younger ones) are afraid of hurting themselves when going down to dig a ball. In this DVD, coach Lamb has not only presented a creative and easy to replicate progression for teaching the "rolling dig", but has also provided a number of ideas to help make the process for the players' knees and elbows. I liked his emphasis on how to not land on your elbows and hips but wish that he had also addressed the best ways to avoid having a player's head accidentally making contact with the floor.
