In this excellent two-part presentation, Coach Dave Shoji presents techniques to help your team get the most out of all scoring opportunities. In the hitting section, Shoji concentrates on approach, arm swing and elevation to develop timing. He breaks down the mechanics of the arm swing and footwork of the approach and demonstrates drills to complement both areas. Shoji puts the arm swing and approach together to show the cross-court shot, the seam shot and the down the line shot. More advanced back row attacks are also discussed and demonstrated on the left, right and middle of the floor and four quick attack patterns designed to put pressure on the blockers are shown. In the serving section, Shoji explains the serving techniques that will help improve your team's serving. Techniques for the float serve, the jump serve and the jump float serve are broken down into the toss, footwork, arm mechanics and hand contact. He also explains strategies to take advantage of the defense's weakness and being able to serve to areas of the court.

It was a good video going over some nice technique tips I can teach to our team's big hitters, and give some positive pointers to our young kids with their serving struggles. I was expecting it to be a bit longer than just under an hour, though. Pretty spendy video for just an hour's discussion & demonstration on these skils. Maybe $20-30 is more like it, just my opinion.
