Using game footage, Mike Hebert illustrates the six most common "transition moments" in volleyball. These transition moments include: Defense to offense, defensive base to defensive read, serve reception to attack, serve to defensive base, coverage to attack, and chaos to order. Next Coach Hebert demonstrates drills to teach your players how to react in each of these situations, where to position themselves on the court, and what footwork you want them to use to get to their positions.
39 minutes. 2001.
Just what we needed ... well done!
The DVD box says 2001... the quality and of the video and the looks of the girls look like its from "1991"
About 30min of the 39min video is just really old footage of the matches which are replayed multiple times, while the coach talks about how what just happened was defense or serve receive transition.
About 2 mins of good drills for middle transition to hitting.
There was maybe 5 drills total which he just added one element each time.
I learned that the best drill to teach transition was to play 6 on 6... Seriously?
If i've never heard or seen volleyball in my life this might have been helpful to explain what your watching.
