Building off of the basic concepts presented in his excellent Speed Glide Shot Put video series, USATF Master Coach Larry Judge takes his shot put instruction to another level! From the back of the ring to the arm strike, this video shows a step-by-step teaching progression with advanced drills and demonstrations as well as exercises to build specific throwing strength. Learn about the long-short and short-long glide techniques, build your understanding of both the lift-rotate and rotate-lift drive phases, and use the same drill series that Coach Judge uses for each technical pattern. Coach Judge clearly and concisely explains, teaches, and demonstrates the drills he has used in developing both men and women Olympic athletes in the shot put. Along with shot put specific instructions, Judge demonstrates a functional warm-up routine, plus a section for the left-handed thrower. He even includes a section for frustrated gliders wondering about the "spin" or rotational shot put technique. Enhancing Judge's instruction is demonstration by Olympic level athletes and footage of elite throwers in competition. Judge's training and technical methodology has developed nine Olympians and over 100 All-Americans and he has coached a thrower in all Olympic Games since 1996!
