Mega Softball Drills: Hitting

I've owned your DVD for a couple of years and just picked it up again to start working with my 12 year old daughter and her 12U team. At first the information was overwhelming but after picking the DVD back up and watching it 4 or 5 more times and then working with a few of the players one on one, the message Coach Tschida is teaching has started to become clear. I continue to teach a session and then go back to the DVD. I now am starting to see the faults he point out, the entire swing has become clearer. I've only scratched the surface but my skill set has improved tremendously. It is not a quick watch but it you want to propel your skill set, this is the DVD to own.

I purchased this DVD to gain a different perspective on teaching hitting to a travel youth softball club I manage and I have fallen in love with Tschida's DVDs since. This 2-DVD set I reference all the time and find myself instituting more and more of the things I've picked up from this. Lots of drills with explanations of their purpose and how to conduct them and great technical advice on the swing in general. Top rate.

This a solid and well shot video that has great number very useful drills. Further, it shares some of Tschida's basic hitting philosophy based on his long history of video analysis. I believe most any coach will find a couple of useful nuggets. For a coach just starting out I can't think of much better place to start

A great tool to understanding the art of hitting the softball. John does an excellent job of laying out the faults of various phases of the swing and then shows how to correct those faults. The drills were numerous and well explained on what they were trying to emphasize in the swing. This is a definite must for players and coaches who are trying to understand the swing.
