See what "New PE" is all about! Mauch will share with you how a traditional game can be wrapped around the philosophies of the "New PE": inclusion, total participation, fitness awareness and accountability, technology and FUN! Mauch shares with you very basic fundamental skills in dribbling, shooting, passing and ball handling. She also shares five creative basketball activities: Basketball Bingo, Heart Rate Basketball, Multiplication Basketball, Tic-Tac-Toe Basketball and "Learning the Game," an activity that teaches students rules of the game and officiating skills. These fun, fast-paced skill development activities allow students to take ownership in developing their math and reading skills, basketball skills and fitness levels. You will see a difference in the attitude and the enthusiasm of your students when you include these non-threatening basketball activities in your PE curricula. Basketball Bonanza will inspire your students to ALL participate in basketball, by inspiring them with fun creative ideas.
