Autism: Equipment Turn-on's for Adapted Physical Education

Feel it, hear it, shake it, try it on.equipment "turn-on's" that help you get started teaching students with autism. This video features students with autism in adapted physical education classes at both the elementary and middle school levels. A wide range of multi-sensory equipment selected to "entice" participation and develop play skills will be presented. Successful teaching strategies will focus on facilitating communication and transitioning between activities.
