Thoroughly explains the hows and whys of being a competitor. Janssen fully endorses the use of Anson Dorrance's Competitive Cauldron. I bought the book hoping for drills and methods of making my players more competitive. This is where the book falls short because you have to buy another book to get the drills to help your team. Buying another 116 page book for $29.95 is really reaching, and should have been included in one book. Even though the information is solid, I give this book an incomplete, and especially because of the price, can not recommend.

The book is a no nonsense summation of what a competitor is and their traits. As I read different characteristics about competitors, I was able to identify which athletes on our team exhibited specific characteristics.
