Individual Development Drills

While I appreciate all that Cindy Timchal has done for Women's lacrosse, this is a weak effort. Cindy is very scattered in how she explains things on the whiteboard, and only slightly more organized on the field. There are a few decent ideas here, but many other videos available from Championship are far superior in explaining the few decent concepts and going well beyond those few. Note that this video is from when Timchal was still a coach at Maryland, and it feels a little bit dated. So it is possible that it was groundbreaking in it's time and has just been been surpassed by many of the more recent productions. Note that the swing item that caused me to choose this video instead of a couple of others I was considering was that it included faceoffs in the contents, and there seems to be little good material out there to help women get better at faceoffs. That section is at the very end of the video and only a few minutes long. It talks about a little bit of what strategy (again pretty basic) without giving and "How" to effectively win the draw where you want to.

Timchal is a clear and effective speaker; whiteboard details are good; sound and video quality were better than most; DVD is a little too short for the price at approx $1/minute of actual instruction.
