Stimmel uses male and female demonstrators to demonstrate stick basics including: how and where to hold the stick, catching fundamentals, passing fundamentals, checking fundamentals, cradling fundamentals, and wall drills that can be done anywhere to gain confidence in the basic skill areas.

This video is ideally suited to help beginning-level players and coaches develop a fundamental understanding of offensive and defensive moves and skills. Coach Stimmel, who also excelled as a player, demonstrates offense basics and shares useful coaching tips for: the roll dodge, face dodge, split dodge, dip dodge, and sword dodge. On defense, Stimmel again provides valuable tips and demonstrates drills that can be done to improve footwork skills and learn where you should be on defense to force the offense to catch in a poor position. After watching this video, you will be ready to take the field with confidence!
