Overall I thought this was a very good video, especially the dodging portion. However, the stickwork part was lacking in content. The wall ball, form shooting and dodging sections were all very clearly explained and made quite simple, top notch (Coach Myers was well prepared!). Beyond the content itself was a coaching style worthy of some study itself. I would certainly buy another video by Coach Myers.
One of the best videos on lacrosse fundamentals. Stick work dodging and shooting are broken down to their basic elements I hope Coach Myers has more coming.
I got halfway through this video and had to hit the stop button as I became overloaded with information. This is a good thing. It is evident throughout this video that Coach Myer prepared and rehearsed his material thoroughly before the record button was ever hit - something other coaches in the Championship video vault do not seem to do. He takes great care in describing and teaching various skills of the game, from holding the stick and throwing, to shooting and executing dodges. While seemingly basic, Coach Meyer's easy delivery and ability to literally break these skills down step by step provides useful tips that any coach, no matter how experienced, can find helpful in reinforcing and teaching the fundamentals. This video would be most useful for coaches at the youth and middle school levels, however, high school coaches would benefit as well. Overall, Coach Meyer gives the viewer his/her money's worth and serves as a good example for other coaches in the Championship line to emulate.
Great tool for showing shooting and dodging.
Coach Myers's video is in a word fantastic! I have never seen shooting and dodging broken down so thoroughly. No small detail is lost on this great teacher. There is so much great information on this video that I will have to watch it a few times to let all drills sink
in. I recommend this to any High School or Youth coach.
