All Access Virginia Lacrosse Practice with Dom Starsia

Explore the inner-workings of Dom Starsia's time-tested system of success as he allows you all access to his practices, drills, plays, philosophy and more from his time at Virginia.

This extensive video set includes over five hours of footage from three full practices. Listen in as Coach Starsia provides a coaching perspective on his practices, what he teaches and why. Starsia provides priceless lacrosse knowledge as he coaches and teaches his players and shares coaching points for the drills and concepts he uses.

Players begin with a pre-practice shooting session, getting into the flow of the game at their own pace. After stretching, the players warm-up as a team, working on their skills including stickwork, shooting and footwork.

Starsia shows you how to incorporate game-like situations early and often in practice. By teaching these situations early, Starsia hopes to develop his players' instincts for handling them rather than overloading them with information and new concepts just before game day.

Situations include skeleton offense, 6-on-6, 4-on-4 to 5-on-4, clearing patterns, extra man offense, defensive sliding and more. Practices end with smaller group situations, including ground balls and 1-on-1.
