Included in these key ingredients are helpful considerations on how to select the players that have the best technical and mental attributes for being on a power play unit. Coach McDonald has once again provided us with an exceptional teaching session. This video takes you from the breakout to zone entry and into the power play itself. From one end of the ice to the other Coach McDonald first diagrams and then provides on ice demonstrations of his ideas. If you are looking to learn about the power play and how to successfully teach your team the fundamentals of the power play, this is the video you want to watch. Coach McDonald is an excellent teacher and gets his message across to the viewer in a fashion that is easy to follow and understand. He goes even deeper than just the x's and o's in this video, he discusses what makes for a good breakout and why he teaches his players certain ways to do things.
