At the high school level, having good players at the quarterback, dive back and the pitch position will give you a great chance to be successful. OC Coach Rick Haynes explores Colerain's system of triple option football. Haynes divides the line into a quick side and strong side. He presents two blocking schemes against the "50 Front." The inside veer can be used against a "4 linebacker" look. Running the ball to the "1 technique" is a part of this attack. A double team scheme is taught for specific situations and is demonstrated on the board in this video. Because of savvy defenses, many adjustments must be made with this offense. Haynes goes through a step-by-step approach to making changes during the game. This presentation concludes with game footage, which enhances the presentation.56 minutes. 2006.Midline and Outside Veer Plays from the Triple Optionwith Kerry Coombs,University of Michigan Special Teams Coach;Cincinnati Special Teams/ Cornerbacks Coach from 2023 to 2024;Cincinnati Interim Head Coach/STC/CB in 2022;Ohio State University Defensive Coordinator from 2020 to 2021Tennessee Titans (NFL) DB Coach from 2018 to 2019;Ohio State University STC/CB from 2012 to 2017;Cincinnati Associate Head Coach (09 to 11), DB/STC Coach from 2007 to 2011;Colerain HS (OH) Head Coach from 1991 to 2006;2004 Ohio State Champions;7 Consecutive Greater Miami Conference Championships;Loveland HS (OH) Head Coach from 1989 to 1990;Greenhills HS (OH) and Lakota HS (OH) Assistant Coach between 1983 and 1988;played college football for the University of Dayton;1980 D-III National Championsand Rick Haynes, Lakota East HS Head Coach from 2009 to 2023; OL Coach at Thomas More College from 2006 through 2009; Colerain HS (OH) AHC and OC from 1991 to 2006:11 Greater Miami Conference titles;2004 State Champions;Loveland HS (OH) Offensive Coordinator from 1990 to 1991;Centerville HS (OH) Assistant Coach from 1986 to 1989;Springfield North HS (OH) from 1984 to 1985;University of Dayton Assistant Coach 1983;played college football for the University of Dayton;1980 D-III National ChampionsIn the early 2000's, Colerain HS annually fielded one of the top football teams in Ohio, based on their solid running attack and stingy defense. Coach Haynes (who was AHC and OC) feels that if only two of the three options are good players, you can still have a great attack. Starting with the Veer, Haynes breaks down the blocking schemes against the 50 defense player by player, as well as the schemes versus a 4-3 and a 3-3 Stack Defense. Line play depends on quickness and angles, not great size and strength. Haynes shows the 46 and 47 to run for the Veer, as well as the outside Veer. Midline is a run scheme that attacks the middle of the defense and involves the quarterback and the fullback. The midline option is called 40 and 41. The key is to make the defense think you are running the triple option. Haynes points out two important adjustments in the option. Marker board presentation and game footage help reinforce these teaching points and techniques. This video can guide you to run successfully against different alignments. 61 minutes. 2006.See all the items in this series! The Triple Option OffenseMidline and Outside Veer Plays from the Triple Option See more products by: Kerry Coombs Rick Haynes See other products you might like: Bundle & Save!
