The Spread Offense provides several advantages. First, it utilizes skill athletes and takes the pressure off the offensive line. The spread can neutralize a dominant front seven, is hard to prepare for and is hard for the defense to disguise coverages. The spread also makes it easy to read the blitz and spreads the defense out. The no huddle style is one that players enjoy and is part of the Henderson State spread offense. Coach Maxfield shares his "no huddle procedure." The Misdirection series is broken down, as is the Power Series. Maxfield also explains play action options and blitz control. The 18/19 play, inside zone, draw, shuttle pass and dart play are all features in this running game. The dart, a misdirection run play, is seen by showing game footage. The dart can be run out of the shotgun or under center. Blocking schemes are taught for simplicity and consistency. This is an organized look at the potent Spread Offense.
