The one element missing from most spread offenses is the power running game. Coach Klenakis teaches his power running game out of the Pistol Offense formation. In 2009, Nevada led the nation in rushing offense (344.9 yds/game) and in yards per carry (7.4 yds/carry). In this DVD shot on location at the University of Nevada, Klenakis thoroughly teaches every aspect of the counter gap play out of the Pistol Offense formation. The Counter Gap Play provides the match-up problems of a spread offense, but attacks the defense with a power running system. Klenakis diagrams each offensive player's responsibility including quarterback and running back footwork. His simple position-by-position rules will make implementing this power running system a breeze. Klenakis uses game footage to reinforce teaching points. I really liked this video on the Pistol Power Run Game. As with all Coach Klenakis' videos, he begins with the rules of the offensive linemen and then goes to extensive film study to illustrate application of the rules. The rules cover all the fronts and are easy to understand, His film study teaching method is excellent.

Very basic. Only one running play and the video does not even show all 11 players and their respective assignments. What kind of football video is that? Marginal for the amount paid for this video. I sure hope Chris Klenakis reads this and personally sends me more on the pistol offense for my money. He can reach me at [email protected].
