The disadvantage of most passing attacks is they are complex and difficult to remember. The Fly Offense passing game does not fit into this category. Coach Swartwood uses this instructional football DVD to show a simplified three- and five-step drop, play-action, and bootlegs that can be effective at any level. He takes advantage of a simplified way for receivers to read coverage zones and instantly recognize which routes will be open. With the quarterback and the receivers making the exact same reads, there is very little confusion and will put your team in a position to succeed. Swartwood provides coaching points for quarterback play and the types of throws that will need to be made. Swartwood does an excellent job of explaining the passing tree for the Fly Offense along with what reads need to be made for each play to be successful.
