Coach Norm Parker, one of the most respected defensive coordinators in college football, gives a comprehensive look at outside linebacker play. He divides his presentation into four segments: tackling, block protection, support rules, and formations and blocking schemes. Within these segments, he demonstrates proper tackling technique, techniques to shed blocks, and the keys to reading offenses. Parker includes more than 15 drills to teach these techniques including a rotating four-station drill that Iowa uses daily.
