The 3-4 defense is a viable option if you lack big bodies on the defensive line. It also allows you flexibility to use many different kinds of rushes to confuse the opposing quarterback, and, it makes it easier to cover multiple offensive formations with adjustments in the secondary. Coach James emphasizes aggressiveness at all positions, discussing the physical and mental characteristics that each player needs to execute his respective role in the 3-4.
