Coach Haley brings his wealth of knowledge from the college game to the NFL to share his thoughts on defensive line play. Three main keys that make up his teaching progression include knowledge, fundamentals and effort. Haley makes excellent use of game footage to stress the teaching of each skill. Ball key is always the base alignment. To teach block release, practice tape and practice drills are used. Teaching footwork is fundamental to all football players and is also broken down by Haley.
