James Madison University has perfected the inside zone offense in recent years. During their 2004 NCAA Division I-AA National Championship run, the Dukes ran the inside zone play over 285 times in 15 games. In this DVD, Coach Newsome does an outstanding job of detailing the blocking assignments, reads, and personnel requirements that will allow you to effectively run this offense. Coach Edmonds teaches proper alignments, reads, reactions, footwork, and aiming points for each position. In addition, the DVD includes the six rules for running the Inside Zone. Both coaches wrap-up their presentations by breaking down game tape and highlighting the simplicity and flexibility of their offense. The unique feature of this offense is that it allows you the freedom to change formations without changing blocking assignments.
