How does an aspiring young football player become a "champion" quarterback?
Coach John Booty shares 11 innovative drills that focus on building a "championship caliber" quarterback, as well as invaluable lessons and observations he has shared with other young players who went on to become some of the nation's best HS quarterbacks ever.
During his 30+ year career, Booty has been a part of eight 5A Louisiana State Championships and coached 11 straight All-State QBs, including: Josh Booty (Cleveland Browns), Brock Berlin (University of Miami), John David Booty (USC), and two USA Today All-Americans. During his tenure, his quarterbacks have thrown over 50,000 yards and over 550 touchdowns. This video introduces the necessary skills and drills he has used successfully that will allow a young QB the opportunity to practice all the things that will propel them forward next fall.
Looking for the proper footwork in the one-step drop, three-step drop, five-step drop, and the rollout? Wanting to gain confidence in the pocket? Need a refresher on essential mechanics? 52 minutes. 2004.
At first I thought it could have had more. But I realized that if you master a few things in the beginning it will help you as you move on to another level. Some training DVD's try to cover everything and you tend to get brain overload.
It's ok, but not complete. Has some good info and better than some I have seen. There are better ones available.
It's missing something in this video but its pretty good. I'm going to try to get some more info from another qb video too.
