Vance Walberg: Mastering the Dribble Drive Attack Offense

Easily one of the single greatest basketball coaching videos I've ever seen. I would HIGHLY suggest you buy the "advanced Dribble Drive" (also from Walberg), as it's basically pt. 2 to this video. Also, get the 100 drills video that goes with it since it gives you all the breakdown drills you'll need.

I make slight modifications to the "daily 45" drills to fit my team, but the "blood" drills are fine as they are & they are the greatest drills you'll ever find for this offense.

Fran Fraschilla also has a solid video on this same offense, but THIS is the best one in my opinion.

This offense allows kids to become basketball players & not robots. You just have to teach them the different reads in this offense, & Walberg does an incredible job of doing just that.

Last thing I'll say, is that this offense is ONLY solid against man to man defense. I know there are modifications in Walbergs other video for zone, but I'm not too crazy about it. If you're looking for a simple but extremely effective zone offense, buy Bob Knights Encyclopedia of Zone Offense video.

This was a great introduction to the DDA offense and worth the money. Vance Walberg is detailed and gives you everything you need to make this offense successful. After watching this I can see how this system has influenced so many other systems with the drive-attack mentality.

Best Dribble Drive DVD you will buy. Coach Walberg is a great teacher and gives you everything needed to teach and run the offense.

Vance is one of the most high quality teachers you can come across. Many people run DDM, but do not have the kind of success that Vance has because of how he teaches the game. This is true for any offense, but the philosophy along with the teaching are top notch.

Great DVD on the dribble drive attack offense. Coach Walberg explains in great detail why he developed the offense and provides great teaching points and drills.

Let me tell you something. This is by far one of the best DVDs i've seen. why? Because Vance is an incredible teacher, he focuses on the little things and is very specific and understands how his offense should b run, no shortcuts are made here in his teachings. It is an absolute DVD for those beginning and wanting to learn the AASA(dribble drive) offense. He teaches all his options and harps on the little things. great buildup and shows all the offense in action, what really helps is he is running it with a team BRAND NEW to the offense which is great for us( I think this is what also helps put it over the top)!!!!
He does go in depth with all the actions and sequences that goes on in the dribble drive and explains them pretty well. While it he doesn't go 1-1, 2-2 buildup of the offense, he really really doesn't need to(drills in 2nd disc are for that)

Disc 2 is excellent, great explanations of his daily 45 drills that are absolutely great, his drills are amazing not only for his offense but to create an up temp pressure fast paced environment on offense. Something there for everyone and again, his drills help build up the offense.
AS I said above, this DVD was absolutely great, the way he puts the offense in and TO START the DVD with why he implemented this offense and why he thinks it works really sets the "mood" and gets your blood flowing ready to learn. one reviewer said he doesnt go over the 4th or 5th "cut" or "drive" so it could stunt continuity purposes, and hes right, but if you watch his fresno tape(it comes with this DVD) they all are always into the flow of the offense meaning, even with improper spacing, the goal is the same and they know what actions to do at what spots.
really cant fault this DVD at all, 5 stars because of his teaching, the way he shows it and his disc 2 which is all drills, really help teach and input the fundamentals of the offense.

Awesome! Coach Wallberg goes through step by step of the dribble drive. He explains and teaches the options at all areas of the floor. The fact that he does it with a team that has never ran it before is also a good reason to purchase this DVD. The kids he teaches it to will make the same mistakes as your own. my understanding of the offense has improved immensely!

It's exactly what I was looking for and the streaming option is the best so I can look at it and reference it almost anywhere.

I would recommend ANY of Vance Walberg's DVDs. They are all incredibly detailed, have demonstrations for EVERYTHING, and he uses great terminology. Don't be alarmed that you might not have heard his name before. His stuff is as every bit as good as or better than a lot of big name coaches. He's the reason Coach Calapari runs the dribble drive offense!!

This video is worth it just to hear Vance talk about basketball. The offense is good if your playing a team with similar or less talent. If you want to beat a good team your going to have to set a screen. The drills are great I use them every day. It gets 5 stars because Walberg's insights are just fantastic. Get his full court pressure system it's the best video he has.

One of the best DVDs on the offense. The inventor of the offense explains in detail philosophy, implementation and break down drills. Coach puts a lot into his DVDs always worth the money. These are the basics to intermediates of the offense his other DVDs are an extention that continue to build his great offense.

This is an excellent DVD explaining the basics and intermediate aspects of the offense, its broken down extremely well and explained from a philosophical standpoint as well as live on the court. What really makes this one stand out though is the 2nd DVD which has all the drills, applied right those drills flow right into the offense and make everything go. No matter what offense you teach though there are drills that you can use to liven up your practices and get your players better shooting and pushing the ball. Really excellent overall.

Great Video, I purchased both this and the Calipari video, and this one does a much better job of walking through the offense. There are some tweaks that Calipari does that I like a little better, but I would definately say that This Video... is the definitive Dribble Drive Motion video if you want to teach it.

The one thing missing from both videos is how to keep spacing on the 3rd and 4th drives. They always talk about how the 3rd and 4th drives are the ones that create the best opportunites and they are right, but I've found that on the small chance those aren't open, our guys are now WAY out of position to fill (drag) behind.

Still Great video and excellent offense!

Great DVD! After watching it, implementing this offence with my high school team was very easy! I found it much more helpful then the Calipari DVD.
