Finally! A zone offense video incorporating X's and O's along with on court player demonstration to help you fully understand Middle Tennessee State's zone offensive package. Kermit Davis shares his zone secrets any coach at any level can institute into his/her program. Davis diagrams and demonstrates 16 key components to running a successful zone offense. An extensive look at how to tilt the zone shows ways to disrupt even the stingiest zone defense. Some other innovative points include: zone motion, zone offense against a match-up, short corner touch, four pop, and four high. Whether you push the ball up the floor or slow it down and run set plays these concepts are easy to understand and will work for you. Davis outlines responsibilities and reads for each player making this the total package for zone offense. Seeing is believing - this is unlike any video ever produced!
97 minutes. 2004.
I'm a High School coach and this offense was simple and easy to teach. Coach Davis does a GREAT job of teaching it on the white board and then demonstrating it on the floor. I have several zone offense DVD's and this is the best.
Tremendous job of showing everything on the chalkboard first and then out on the court. This is a continuity offense with cuts from post to short corner but is layed out so it can attack 2-3/3-2/ or 1-2-2. Also shows how to attack a trapping zone, a baseline continuity. Very well done, and this has to be the best zone video along with the GAP attack Video by Brownell that I have seen.
This DVD was excellent. I also purchased the Mike Krzyzewski Duke basketball attacking the zone DVD and this one is better. Big ups to Kermit Davis on this one.
This is an outstanding DVD on zone offense. Coach Davis does a great job explaining how his team runs this offense. The diagramming he does on the board before he goes to the on floor demonstration is very helpful. This is a must have for any coach who wants to improve their offensive attack against the zone.
Very thorough, very well presented. I like the use of diagrams and then on court demonstration. I also got the Bill Self "Basic" and "Motion" 3-Out 2-In Zone Offenses and this one covers much more. I am glad I got both DVDs, but if I only bought one, this is the one that's best.
Excellent DVD! I wish all clinicians would be this clear when presenting an offense. By far the best DVD I have seen on running an effective Zone Offense. Very simplistic and can be run as continuity.
this is awesome. I will be using this with my girls' varsity team
By far one of the best zone offense dvd's that I have purchased. Each year I add a few new dvd's to my collection and this is up there with the best of them. Much better than the Duke zone offense (that dvd does have nice breakdown drills). Based on this dvd I will start to purchase other Kermit Davis dvd's. He does a great job breaking down the offense and building it from the bottom up.
If you are looking for zone offense, the other person who does a GREAT job is John Kresse. His zone stuff and trapping defense dvd's were good. The other must have is Hubie Brown's series, especially his Winning with less talent.
I purchase all things Hubie and Kresse and will start looking at Kermit's dvds as well.
