Many coaches and programs have used the half-court scramble successfully for many years. Now, with this tape, comes the opportunity to cause offenses more problems by employing the full-court scramble. In this tape, Coach Larranaga details the five different forms this defense can take: man, quick trap, slow trap, twist, and zone pressure. He teaches the positioning and responsibilities of all five players in each situation and when is the best time to employ each. For example, twist is an excellent defense to use to take the ball out of the hands of an outstanding ball-handler. In addition, Coach Larranaga demonstrates the breakdown drills he uses to teach these defenses.

In this tape, Coach Larranaga briefly reviews both types of scramble defense (first pass trap and ball-handler trap) and then gives an excellent review on how to use this effective defense against various offenses. These offenses include 1-4 high, 1-4 low, 2-1-2 or 2-3 set with a high-post, 4-out/1-in, and a secondary fast break set. Against each of these offenses, Coach Larranaga shows how to defend each with both types of scramble defense and includes the positioning and responsibilities of each position and the critical rotations.
