The Encyclopedia of Full Court Pressure Defense

I bought this dvd and was excited to watch it. Problem, is there are too many pauses, dead spots in the dvd. I would not recommend buying this dvd. It pauses and skips so much you can't follow the information.

Excellent video and breakdown of his pressure system

Was basically an exact duplication of Bruce Pearl 1-2-1-1 Full Court Pressure DVD. I have both and was disappointed.

great dvd. coach repeats himself often but that's ok. this dvd consists of different parts of different clinics. demonstration on court the last hour. coach explains each set. I gave it a 4star instead of a 5 cause the first hour i would like to have seen an bigger overview. not only filming the coach but also filming the explanation on the projector

Coach definitely does repeat himself throughout the video because this DVD was shot at multiple clinics. The best part of the DVD for me was Coach Pearl's detailed explanation about how his teams match up on the back end of the press. It's challenging at times to go man-to-man off of a zone press. This will make sure you do not lose good shooters in transition while protecting the paint. He was very specific and had great teaching points. Also, I liked his nuggets about getting into the press off of a made basket, made FT, etc.

Zero complaints about this one. This video is a must have for any who wants to learn the four basic ways to full court press. I thought the price was high when I bought it but after watching it I would have paid more. Coach Pearl shows you his list of rules to follow, the lecture was informative, the on court demonstration was excellent, and he explains a chart that he uses for the first two passes in his press. I purchased this video and the Shaka Smart: Havoc and both compliment each other well, but this one goes a bit deeper into the information.

If you are looking for an all out, corner trapping press, this is a very solid video. Pearl actually does well in a lecture going thru responsibilities and then puts in out on the court. Tom Davis had a full court pressure DVD he put out when at IOWA which was pretty similar. Of course Pearl is a Tom Davis guy. Well worth it if you want to have a press to go for broke!

Was disappointed with the amount of repitition. You'll hear 3 times Pearl's 8-10 reasons to press.

The Tennessee video footage is more highlight film than teaching video. There is no naration with that.

This video is about 2 hours long with about 1 hr 15 minutes worthy of watching.

Pearl gives coaches the opportunity to understand his philosophy of the up-tempo game. There is some repetition from the lectures, but the video stresses his key points. His ideas are illustrated with chalkboard lectures, video, electronic x and o's, and live on court situations. Good audio and quality picture. The video is broken down into sections that you can refer to in order to review key points or to show players. I've watched it, used it, and highly recommend it.

I agree. The first hour consists of a lecture where coach goes over his philosophies each man's responsibilities in the press. The second hour is an on court demonstration that is in depth. Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning about the 1-2-1-1.

Very deep coverage of 1-2-1-1 press.
It contains clear description of different situations with game clips, and on the court demonstrations.
It covers many counteractions again common offensive tactics (2 front, 3 front, 4 front).
I'm happy I purchased it.
