Features & Benefits
with Steve Fisher,
San Diego State University Head Coach;
2011 Naismith Men's Basketball College Coach of the year;
2011 MWC Coach of the Year;
coached Michigan and the "Fab Five" to NCAA and NIT titles

Coach Fisher, one of the truly great teachers in the game, shares with you a group of drills he considers the best he's ever seen, and he tells why they are so effective. He begins with a favorite warm-up drill that incorporates ball handling from baseline to half court and back. All shooting drills focus on communication and good passing and are competitive in nature. The 4 plus 1 shooting series; the 2, 2, 2, and 1 shooting drill; the Fire fast break drill are some of the featured drills you'll see. Time-tested game plays are demonstrated step-by-step. Heat is a play with multiple options and screening action. "Florida" is a play that yields a lob for a lay-up by the post. On the free throw line, the "X" stunt can produce at least one basket per game. End of the game plays can pull out big wins, and Fisher shares his "4 second play" to win the game at the buzzer. This is a great collection of team and individual drills and plays!

A relaxed Coach Fisher shares stories, coaching philosophies and insightful random thoughts along with a few shooting drills and plays. If you’ve followed Fisher’s career, you’ll probably appreciate this video as he relives things that happened over the years in an easy going, good-natured manner. This presentation resembles coaching buddies sitting at a bar shooting the breeze. Others might feel he rambled a bit too much and want more action on the floor. It all depends what you’re in the mood for.
