with Gregg Marshall, Wichita State University Head Coach;

The point guard is the playmaker on your team and helping them understand their role and responsibilities is essential to your success.

Gregg Marshall, head coach Wichita State University, brings you a complete point guard workout that will challenge your floor leaders to make plays for their teammates and for themselves. Using shooting drills, defense drills, screening drills, ball handling drills, and passing drills, Coach Marshall delivers a comprehensive workout designed to eliminate your point guard's weaknesses. Recorded during alive Shocker workout, Marshall offers insights and narrative into the details of each drill.

On the offensive end of the court, the point guard has the most responsibility and must be prepared for any situation. Marshall shows a rigorous ball handling routine using cone dribbling drills to develop and challenge guards. With each drill, players will master essential techniques and learn how to attack their defender using quick, decisive movements.

You will see shooting drills that can simulate shots you take in your offensive system. With each shooting action, your players will develop timing, learn how to set proper screens, move without the basketball and how to finish around the rim in traffic. Feeding the post is another key area to work on as you develop the point guard position. Marshall includes great drills for feeding the post.

Teach your point guards how to read flat screens in the open court to get to the rim and create scoring opportunities for your team at the end of a game. Learn a challenging full court drill where point guards have to learn how to score on a defender in the open court as they play continuous 1-on-1-on-1 full court.

Your point guards are extensions of you on the floor and they need to be skilled leaders who have the ability to create scoring opportunities for your team. Coach Marshall's point guard workout will increase your players basketball and leadership IQ, so your team can move to the next level.

Best video of the set in my opinion. The ball handling segment is very good and great for developing quick hands and a tighter handle and there is a great 1 on 1 segment at the end. Its also comprehensive, offense and defense are both worked on which is very different from other workout videos I have seen. A worth investment for ideas developing ball handling, getting game shots up and getting some good coaching points on a variety of things.

Excellent DVD!!! Wow. This is a 5-star DVD. What I like about this DVD, and there are many things, are the constant input by the coach and his staff. You get the drill information, what they are doing, and how they should be doing it. Also I like the teaching/coaching points. For example in the warm-up section, the staff talks about working on keeping a tight handle (dribble) and being strong with the ball. I also enjoyed the breakdown of the point guard workout. You move from the warm-up to the closeout section (defense). The staff works both sides of the floor. I love the enthusiasm of the staff. Each drill had a purpose and the energy was there. The ballhandling phase- Excellent!!! Oh my word. Again, these are drills that we do on a daily routine. But what sets coach Marshall's apart, the quality of the instruction. You have the energy, coaching points, never a wasted minute. And with point guards, they have to have the handles, and in this DVD, the cone drills, are excellent. This Point Guard DVD is excellent. The drills in this DVD can be used in-season and during off-season. 5-Star!!! I can't wait to order the Forward and Guard DVDs now. Holy Smokes!!!!
