Sean Miller: Beating Pressure Defenses

This video is awesome because it is explained well and it also pretty simple. As a youth coach, using his drills, my guards are no longer afraid of pressure because they have been given excellent methods for handing those situations. As an adult basketball rec player, I too use the methods and am beating guys who are way more athletic. His passing drills are also really cool because they create situations where kids will see these kinds of scenarios in the game!!!!!!

I am giving this DVD a 5-star rating based on content. There is a lot of content in this video, and Sean Miller does really well at explaining his philosophies clearly and concisely. I will add that a lot of the content in this video, I will not add to my own team. Some of his press break stuff is interesting, but is not worth implementing for my team. If you are looking for a press break DVD to give you thoughts on press break strategy, there are better videos on Championship Productions in that specific department.

This video is so good because it is very well edited. It wasn't just thrown together and filmed at a clinic. This DVD is edited among two different clinics and pieced together. Again, there is a lot of information in this video, and I won't implement most of the information presented. but there are definitely some great ideas from this video which I will implement into my practices- and at the very least it gets your brain really thinking about different strategies and ideas on how to deal with different types of pressure.

There is a LOT of great stuff in this one, really nice value in terms of not being really all about one subject. The beginning material is a must watch and teach for young PGs on how to handle someone who is not going to let you walk it up, great tips and teaching for beating pressure. There are a lot of 5 on 5 scenarios gone over as well from full court pressure to half court zone pressure, really all of your bases are covered! I don't love everything that was presented, but there are multiple formations and plays for everything and the concepts make a lot of sense and can be converted to fit your needs. I loved this one!

EXCELLENT! This video has a great balance of plays for a variety of different pressure situations, concepts that work against a great number of different types of defenses and little nuggets and tips about the game in general to help teach your players how to be at their best. I really liked this one and would recommend it to anyone!

Great material that works. I've used some of these techniques and we've handled pressure so much better. It was so easy to install due to how simple he breaks it down. Miller is one of the best.

I really liked the information at the beginning of the DVD having to do with how to teach players techniques to beat tough man pressure. I think Coach Miller has some great concepts and explains them very well. The portions where Coach Miller shows his different press break and trap break formations I could take or leave.

The DVD is in my Top 5 of most informative and helpful. Sean Miller explains everything very well, tried the concepts with my team and saw an improvement immediately.

This is THE most useful DVD I've purchased for HS basketball instruction. Coach Miller explains techniques that apply to top D1 talent, but also can apply for middle school, freshman, JV and Varsity HS. His detailed breakdown of necessary skills to beat pressure made me a better instructor right away with my team. I've seen improvements from my players in games already. Like Miller says: "giving your players a method makes it easier for them to execute during intense game situations" (paraphrased).

This is a great video. I applied his techniques with junior high boys this year and my guards did not turn the ball over one time bringing the ball up the floor under pressure. These techniques give the kids confidence and understanding of what to do with pressure. Great tools to apply for any age team.

The concepts were explained well and then drills to reinforce them were shown. Sean's ideas to break different types of pressure defenses helped our team improve their ball handling skills and made them better players.

Great content, very well taught, followed great progression, and had many great teaching points & coaching points. This is a phenomenal dvd. This is a must for all coaches!!

Tremendous. Miller is the best NCAA coach going right now in terms of a clinician and this is the best he's done. From individual concepts to team concepts, Miller provides a ton of useful stuff for coaches at all levels. One of the best DVDs around. Highly recommend. Coach Miller provided me with some good insight into how to help my players learn to beat heavy pressure. The DVD provides great methods I can teach my team to help them create space such as the simple change of speeds or the glide dribble. Great DVD with a ton of relevant and useable information.

I thought this was one of your better DVD's. I thought Sean did a good job of showing some good ways to create space for the dribbler and also his ideas on beating full court pressure were helpful. Some good schemes and ideas that could help coaches at any level.

Good DVD... Best part for me is teaching how to get open and dealing with hard man pressure. That part is really well presented and a good help to any high school coach.
