S.O.S Pressure Defense (4th Edition)

Loved the book. It explains things very well. Depending on the age group you coach you can take things out of the book for little kids and then load them up as they get older. My junior girls team in highschool went undefeated in league and only lost 6 games all year. My club team is running the same defense and we ranked #6 in the province for our age group. I would tell anyone to buy this book.

This is a great system. I have the book and the video's and my middle school team went 7-1 this year after having a losing record the year before. Get it, follow it! Switch everything!

Being an older publication, it provides an "old school" approach to defensive pressure but old school doesn't mean obsolete or irrelevant. It provides a unique terminology and the drills were useful as well.

My Defensive Bible.

After veiwing the DVD series by Mr. Bob Kloppenburg (which is a must have) explaining the SOS defensive sets and ideas, I knew had to have the book. What I liked about the book was its clear instructions and tons of details. The book covered a lot defensive scenarios that you will face in a game. The book even shows you how to disrupt the fastbreaks, post plays,and how to defend against halfcourt set offenses, like the Flex and Triangle offense. I started using this SOS system two years ago, for my girls varsity level team. We focused on improving our one on one man coverage. Over that two year span, we have improved in our league from 10th (10 team conference) in steals, blocks and defensive FG% to 8th, 4th. I can't wait to see how much we have improved this year. I love this book.
