Jim Calhoun has been one of the most successful coaches in NCAA Division I men's basketball history. He has won two NCAA National Championships and is a 2005 inductee into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In this lecture-style presentation, Calhoun diagrams competitive drills he uses for teaching many areas of the game: Offense, defense, rebounding, shooting, passing, and more. In addition, Calhoun shows you how to manage your practices to get the most out of your players, how to treat players, and how to reward and discipline players. Coach Calhoun ends his presentation with his "eight elements of defense" and he shows how he teaches these elements in his practices. He also discusses everything he does from his pre-practice meetings to the post-practice meetings. Once you have watched this DVD, you will have no doubt that Calhoun is one of the "great coaches of his time"!
