Hubie Brown's genius is to challenge coaches by asking questions and making them think. A series of questions serve as the foundation of his presentation. Developing players to fit your style of play is an important issue for coaches. Practice breakdown is based on six shooting drills - two drills, mixed up, in a 10-minute period - done on an everyday basis. Other considerations he touches on when developing a style of play are scoring in the open floor, spacing, getting to the foul line and shooting high percentage shots. Another segment in Hubie's presentation is dedicated toward setting up late game plays. He shares a great play when the ball is out of bounds on the sideline below the free throw line, as well as four keys to late game success. Hubie demonstrates the alignment and features of the 1-3-1 half court trap, calling it "the greatest trap ever." In addition, he shows an effective attack against this half court trap. To complete the presentation, Hubie shares his offensive and defensive thoughts on the Box & 1 and the Triangle and 2 defense. Brown also demonstrates the full court press and describes shooting drills that he has incorporated throughout his coaching career.
