Greg Kampe: Maximizing the Post in the Dribble Drive Offense

This is probably one of the most simplest yet nuts and bolt video on how to EXACTLY install an actual offense, the dribble drive offense, quickly, effectively in a 5v5 setting. its just meat and potatoes 5v5 with some excellent little teaching points by a really good teacher. he will shot you his whole method of installing it with calls to help incorporate it. THIS IS the 2010 version of the DDM but it is still effective today especially in a low level division or high school level today imo. what you wont get is the breakdown drills for shooting, ball handling and others that Vance has shown but you can easily find online. Purchase this DVD if you want a cheaper alternative to vances DDM dvds OR purchase this DVD if you want to learn and install the Dribble drive motion offense in entirety. worth the price imo

This video is a must watch for coaches who want to learn a simple way to introduce dribble drive or want to use dribble drive differently to showcase other players as your talent changes from year to year. Coach Kampe does a great job.

We have ran DDM the past 2 years. I loved the simplicity of the terms that Kampe uses for the actions. I had never considered being able to call a series of actions to get different looks before, we had always just run through the offense and taken what the players saw. This will give me some new things to play with this season.

Really enjoyed this download. Coach Kampe has an interesting method of running DDM. I installed some of these terms late in the season and the kids were able to grasp it immediately. The use of the terms helped my kids look for more options and made them much more aware of looking for the post. They would communicate on the floor and basically call some of the options themselves mid-play when they saw an opportunity. It also allowed us to "break the pattern" so to speak and get open looks after the Defense had cheated. Kampe is a funny guy with a great delivery. This video is a great tool to have in your arsenal.

Really enjoyed this video and the twists it provides. I had coached DDM at another school as an assistant, then in my 2nd year at new job I put it in to fit our personnel. We did a pretty good job but we were a little too predictable at times. I got this video late in the season and started using some of the methods and my posts picked up on it immediately. Our guards tended to forget about them but now they are more aware and everyone has benefited from it. Guards would make some of the calls themselves to get the ball inside so it helped them to communicate a little better. My 5's are definitely happier.

It allowed more ball movement and broke some of the pattern we'd gotten to using most. Great video and I think you must have it if you run DDM. It adds so much to the offense and it's so simple. I'm now a Kampe fan.

I have run Dribble Drive in the past and installed it this season with my new team. We do a pretty good job running the basics and entries but this is a great addition to get post guys involved more. We used post feeds on the skip but never use the skip enough. Just put this in for our last two weeks and my 5 looks like a new player. Much better balance now and Coach Kampe's system has been huge. It is so simple and now my 5's are much more excited and involved in the offense. I highly recommend.

This is a great video. The best dribble drive video in my opinion if working with high school players. It does not really include drills however Coach Kampe is very willing to respond to your requests on drills questions etc. via email.

One of the best DVDS that I own. A great teacher of the game. I only wish he had more dvds out there.

I really enjoyed this video! Some creative, fresh approaches to getting the ball to a post player in the dribble drive. Coach Kampe offers a series of verbal cues relative to each particular movement in the offense. This allows coaches to find the shots their teams need instead of suffering through a possession-long dribble-fest. He emphasizes spacing, control and execution to achieve the best results in the dribble drive offense.
I put these verbal cues in our offense in practice yesterday with my 8th grade boys team. In fifteen minutes, we were running Loop-Pitch-Red vs. defense and getting easy shots. The kids were psyched because everyone was involved in the execution of the sequence...and the post player got the ball for an easy drop step layup.
There are plays for just about any shot you would like to get from any particular player on the floor...including a nice sequence for a ball screen big-to-small and small-to-big. The best thing is you get to maintain the integrity of the dribble drive offense while being able to quickly and seamlessly get the shots you need.
I've got at least 100 of instructional dvd's. This ranks right up there in my top 10 for easy-to-understand, easy-to-implement, effective offensive instruction.
