Geno Auriemma: Teaching the High Post and Triangle Offenses

This a good video. I like the way he gives the players freedom to play within the system on the cuts when the ball is in the post. The quick hitters are great, they all start from the 4 high sets, but go back to the triangle offense. I implemented them with my boys and they love them, Especially the alley-oop plays.

You had to know that a DVD that said it included the Triangle and High Post offenses was too good to be true right? While it doesn't teach the offenses, it does break down the most common options in each and you can piece them all together to get some great ideas for your own offensive system. Coach Auriemma is certainly a stickler for fundamentals and communicates very well both with the viewers and the players as he is teaching the drills. This is a fine DVD whether you know the offenses or are looking for clues to piece them together, you won't find all the answers but you will learn aa lot about balanced offense.

I am running the Triangle offense for my high school girls basketball team. So I have purchased all of the Triangle Offense series from Championship Productions. This is a good DVD to purchase if you already know the terminology of the Triangle. If not, you gotta purchase the other Triangle DVDs first. Those programs offer the terminology of each position. Here, with coach's Triangle you get more drills and options of running this offense.

I really like the fact that he works on cutting and screening drills with the triangle and high post offense. With the High Post offense, again, you are getting coach's detailed options to the High Post offense.

This DVD is good. Because coach stresses points of entry, timing,and being fundamentally sound in order to run each offense. I am glad that I purchased this DVD.
