Gene Keady, Head Men's Basketball Coach at Purdue University, is known for being one of the most intense coaches in college basketball. In this video, Coach Keady will show you how he takes that intensity and instills it in his players during practice. In this video, Keady reveals the drills he uses to ensure that his players are practicing with the same intensity and speed that they would use during a game. The drills he utilizes work on shooting, passing, individual improvement, offense and defense. All of the drills are designed around competitive rules and consequences. Keady emphasizes team morale, team accomplishments and fundamentals as the most important elements in a winning environment. With the drills in this video, you will be able to create the same intense practices as the "master of basketball intensity' - Gene Keady! 68 minutes. 2004.
i thought it was very well done and featured some useful drills.
Same as the last review. Good beginning stuff, but you probably already do these.
Many of the drills used by Keady are likely drils you use in practice. I did find one new drill that I will use called the 60 point drill where players play to 60 points, successfull passes are worth one point, layups 5 points, turnovers negative 2 etc.
