Thoroughly pleased with this video. I''ve had trouble over the pat two years communicating how to best attack a zone with my girls team. The approaches Coach provides in this video have been very effective in improving our attacks against a zone defense. It''s a great explanation of how to play and attack gaps in the zone as well as methods for distorting a zone for easier shots.
Love the simplicity of teaching how to attack an even front zone. Great instruction, like the terminology for players to use to execute. Would like to see his rules against an odd front zone. GREAT tape.
Good information on this DVD. Many of the zone concepts presented by Coach Brownell are similar to Coach K''s concepts, as well as other standard zone concepts. The information in this DVD can be applied to both the middle school and high school level. Coach Brownell gives a good overview of concepts that you can use to play against a zone defense. This DVD is not made up of "quick hitters" or plays. If you are looking to attack a zone on principle, this DVD is a good resource.
Tremendous video and really explains when to attack gaps. A lot of young kids just know they are supposed to get into the seam but have no idea when or why? This DVD is outstanding and is a must have. It is really based on attacking a two front zone, 2-3 look, but it does a great job of laying out how to play, rather than just giving you a few sets or a set offense.
I would have to agree with the other reviews. Great for High School coaches and very easy for you're players to understand not to mention it works. A Must Have!!!!
I coach a 7th grade boys team and needed some help attacking zone defenses. Coach Brownell's DVD does an excellent job breaking down perimeter and post movement. I have been able to take the concepts he teaches and easily work with my players to improve our zone approach. I really like the instruction on reading the defense and then reacting based on what is given. Excellent teaching DVD!
Very clear and concise approach to zone offense. Better than other zone dvd's I've looked at. Great for high school or AAU.
This video is really good at teaching a lot of principles to be used against zone. Some of them are very basic but I think all coaches will learn something from watching this video. I recommend all coaches have this video in their zone offense library.
You get to see all the basics you need to attack a zone. The teaching points are clear and is highly usable on highschool level where I teach.
Whap I like most is that you teach players principles not plays. They have to learn and read what the the defense gives them.
