Wow! My first reaction, when watching this DVD, was to wrap it back up and send it back! I am glad that I waited and really watched this excellent DVD with an open minded. I loved this DVD. Coach Pettigoue puts his own spin on the DDMO. He has studied Calipari and Vance Walberg's systems and took bits and pieces from those great teachers and adjusted the DDMO to his standards, and those are some excellent standards.
Things that I like about this version of the DDMO, short and quick. Coach goes through 6 options that you can use with the DDMO, and this is the first time that he has worked with the team in the DVD! I also liked the fact that coach talks about going "opposite" with the play. So if you have ran a play going to the right 2 or 3 times, flip it up and go left and the offense never misses a beat. Another thing that I liked was how coach used the post player.
Coach used the post player in a situation (high post) where the post could take his/her man off the dribble or become a passer or screener at the high post area.
Drills-The drills were pretty cool. Coach showed how you could use the 1,2, and 5 players and develop the DDMO with that core group, and then you could include the other players; 3 & 4, the next day.
Great DVD. IF you don't have the funds for the Walberg or Calipari DDMO DVDs, this version works well. Either way you will not go wrong. I loved this DVD. Short and to the point.
