Developing the Complete Player

Developing the Complete Player

with Mike Lee,
National Skill Development Trainer, Ganon Baker Basketball

Developing a player is the result of hard work and intense skill development. Offensive finishing moves from the top of the key include; the Veer, Stockton Lay Up, Jump Stop & Finish and Rip Pivot. Each of these moves is demonstrated with and without defense. Tight Chairs is a drill to develop all facets of ball handling in the open court. Using chairs as defenders, Coach Lee has designed half and full court ball handling drills for players of all levels. A series of drills from half court teach the cross over, between the legs and behind the back technique. From the wing, Lee teaches the "hips across" move to beat the help defense. Other drills are Florida one-on-one, L cut series, Florida shooting, cutting off screens and fade cutting.

55 minutes. 2008.
