Bob Huggins is synonymous with aggressive, pressure defense. In this on floor presentation, Huggins builds his 1-3-1 trap from the ground floor. Each position impacts the strength of this defense and each has specific duties. Huggins touts trapping, passing angles and rotation as the key ingredients to a successful defense. Another feature of this DVD is the full court 2-2-1 press. Once the ball is trapped, two anticipators and an interceptor assume their positions with maximum pressure on the ball. Other features are run and jump and double teaming the ball in the half court. Huggins shares his 2-2 defensive drill that is instrumental in building the entire full and half court defense. Trapping forces turnovers, fatigues opponents and forces bad shots. Add the element of surprise to your defensive game plan with Huggins' aggressive, trapping instruction. Trapping will help your team gain confidence and score easy baskets at the expense of your opponent.

This video, in one word, was dull. I "got" only a few teachable things for our defenses. Most of the time, he rants about how he tortures his players on the treadmill, and alot of other boring drawn-out stories. No tempo, no progression, and very little to learn about. I usually give very good dvd reviews, but this dvd is crap!!
Huggy should do TV work when he's done coaching. Very good job of explaining what he wants from his players. Coaching points are makes it easy to work in any defensive scheme. I got a lot from this tape & use it to teach it to my groups. Good Job Huggy!!!
