If you want to be a good youth coach this video is a must have. Bob teaches you the right approach to coaching. It is sound fundamental coaching. He does a great job of making you aware of what kids see. One of the big problems I have seen in Youth Basketball is that coaches try to treat youth players as high school players. Bob program teaches you from their level and up.
Youth Basketball Programs looking for guidance, direction and a philosophy will do well to view and have this on hand for both administrative purposes and educating their coaches. Bob gives sound, common sense advice on how things should be done at the youth level. In my 7 years of directing a youth basketball program, I highly recommend Bob's philosophy and approach to working with young basketball players and training the adults who will guide them. While not fully comprehensive in skills detail, it provides a very strong basis from which to get started "the right way"!!!
