Mike Maker's offense has been referred to as "the Princeton Offense on steroids." This high paced version of the old classic excites his players and yet maintains the discipline necessary to be one of the most efficient offenses in college basketball. For the first time, you can witness how this coaching veteran of 23 years prepares his team for the upcoming season.
This unique All Access DVD set is packed with breakdown drills and variations of Coach Maker's hybrid Princeton Offense. He shares his 90/10 Concept. 90 percent of his practices are focused on offense while 10 percent are focused on defense.
During the practice Coach Maker runs predominately offensive drills to refine his players' offensive skills sets. Witness how Maker teaches the many Princeton options in a 5-on-0 setting and then allows his players to execute them according to their individual strengths. He encourages his players to follow their instincts as they move into controlled 5-on-5 scrimmages, allowing the offense to evolve.
Coach Maker spends a tremendous amount of time with the team scrimmaging, with an emphasis on running the Princeton Offense. During this time Maker and his staff correct the players in an All-Star fashion to ensure that there is teaching going on, but also to condition the players. This demonstration of the offense in motion is a critical teaching tool for the coach. It's hard to find a team that executes so fluidly within an offensive concept as sophisticated as the Princeton offense. You will understand why it's called "the Princeton on steroids."
There is no down time in Maker's practices and you will benefit from numerous skill and conditioning drills. Each of them is an extension of the overall offense. In separate drills, you will learn how Maker teaches his man-to-man defensive principles in 3-on-3 and 2-on-2 drills. This DVD is the complete package.
In true All Access fashion, you will be able to watch the coaching staff prepare each practice. See them implement their weekly goals into daily practices, as they discuss skill and strategy needs and progressions.

All Access videos are designed to allow viewers from all over the world to see how successful coaches run their practices in a "live" practice setting. All Access videos allow viewers to see the practices un-edited and in real-time. You will see how top coaches run their drills, interact with their team and staff, how they motivate their team, the cue words they use, the atmosphere of the practice and how practices are structured from day to day. Many coaches visit successful colleges and high schools to watch practice. But if you live out of state or out of the country, visiting another coach's gym can be costly. That's why we created the All Access Practice Series of videos -- to bring the practices to you!
This is a wonderful video for anyone interested in using the Princeton style offense. I was very impressed with how Coach Maker broke down 3v0, 4v0 and 5v0 skeleton offenses then implemented then into live action. Coach Maker is wonderful in his instruction and message to his players.
This is another very good All-Access set, Williams uses a good handful of shooting drills that would work well with any team, some good fundamental drills that can be manipulated to fit any team and have an incredibly sophisticated (their word) offense with a lot of reads. Its helpful to see how a team that relies on reads drills their players and brings them along, their offense has a lot of great things in it and its cool to see how they progress and teach with it. Overall a really good set to look at for teams that want to improve their shooting and drilling of their offense.
Great shooting drills that can be used with any offense and some good full court lay-up - pick and roll - pick and pop drills that could be used in any offense . Dvd shows 3 days of practice 1. skill work 2. 3 and 4 man drills for the 2 guard offense. 3. shooting drills 4. defense drills 5. scrimmage
This is a solid video of 4 guard 1 post version of the princeton offense. Coach Maker does a good job of talking to the viewers as practice is going on with drills and scrimmages and their different objectives. does a lot of breakdown drills of their motion with 3 or 4 guys. you then get to see how it comes up in their offense with scrimmages. Only negative i could say is that Coach maker has a LOT of code words that have certain keys or meanings for their offense and defense. Leaves the viewer wondering what he is talking about and teaching. Some i could pick up and some i could not. "CANADA", "AMERICA", "PROTECT THE PRESIDENT". I have also bought the Richmond, chris mooney princeton which is a 5 in/out interchangeable version of the princeton. i would say this is on board with it and gives you a different look with a permenent post player
