I really wanted this DVD, I consider myself a big princeton fan and wanted to see it being taught and run at a high level. Coming into this DVD I have researched and watched many teams run princeton so coming in, I knew a little about what the offense is and the different actions you can do in different spots. THIS DVD is 85% PRINCETON OFFENSE scrims/5-0, 5-5. They go through their different "options" and entrys in the offense such as low ( low post) POINT ( HIGH POST) 122 ( 5 OUT) I WILL ADMIT, I wanted to see more "teaching" most of these D I schools teach during the summer months and then the first week of practice they are ready to go mid flight. I do recommend you come in knowing the fundamental options of the princeton when the C is in the low post and high post. I think if you are brand new to princeton and watch this series. You will definitely be somewhat confused at first and will need to watch, re watch(many times) and chart down the actions till you get used to it. all in all, since I knew a bit about it coming into the DVD I learned some things and felt I could follow along pretty well, wish there were more technical teaching points but Mooney does throw some in along with other good points. If you are brand new never sen princeton run before, this is a decent DVD ( pete carrils would be loads better) that will give you a good idea, you just would really need to sit for a week and really watch and analyze all dvds multiple times.
The "warm up" drills are basic but they are absolutely great imo, they teach the fundamentals and go hand in hand with his offense, great warmup and drills anyone can use.
DO NOT buy this DVD for his matchup defense, I think there is a total of about 35 minutes out of 8 hours. and when he does do his shell drill, hes not teaching it from ground up (same with this offense) they are just going with it and hard to know whats going on unless you know the defense.
the coaching meeting were about 7mins long in each DVD, really nothing else to say about that.
I hope I was detailed, i think its a very good DVD, I enjoyed it, got a lot out of it. Do wish he started from the ground up for the newer guys but most D1s do that teaching in the summer. All in All I do feel anyone can get SOMETHING out of this DVD, even if you are a new princeton coach(just will take awhile)
