TEAM WARM UP:Coach McCallie begins each practice with a team warm-up/stretching segment, individual development drills, and team development drills. These drills are designed to improve ball handling, passing and shooting skills while incorporating McCallie's offensive and defensive philosophy. You will see break down drills for post and perimeter players, situational transition drills and full court conditioning drills.
OFFENSE:Get an in-depth look at McCallie's offensive system from the early offense philosophy and calls to half court options into the shot clock play, plus a look at what they do versus zone defenses. You will see how Duke executes its early offense through different reads and calls versus a 5-on-0 setting as well as in a 5-on-5 scrimmage. You also get an in-depth look at some of Duke's half-court offensive sets they use versus man and zone defense.
DEFENSE:On the defensive side of the ball, McCallie shows some of her man defensive drills as well as her match-up zone. See how Duke defends on the ball, works on transition defense and defends the post. See techniques for disrupting the ball, eliminating passing lanes and placing pressure on the offense. She adds to the defense by showing where and how they trap to cause disruption to the offense.
