In all, 12 drills are demonstrated, providing a template for you to design your own shooting practice. Shadow shooting, lay-ups around the coach and two-line team shooting provides a warm-up for the workout. The full-court dribble drill and outlet drill combine ball handling and shooting. Competitive free throw situations are placed between drills. The "Rip Hamilton" drill and the follow the leader drill include cutting for lay-ups, one-dribble jump shots and block jumpers. A specialty drill is the Big Man "X" drill where players take shots from four spots on the floor. Fatigue forces additional concentration and physical demands for players throughout the workout. The full court 3-man weave and two pass full court shooting drill push players to handle the ball, cut, communicate, concentrate and properly shoot the ball. The workout concludes with the full court foul shot competition. This unique approach to shooting improvement requires a team to dedicate an entire practice to just shooting.
