Noel Gillespie uses his experience as an NBA advanced scout to take you inside NBA playbooks from the Celtics, Magic, Lakers, Bulls, Heat and more.
Each in-bounds play on this DVD was executed in an NBA game during the 2008-09 season to provide quick, late-clock or late game scoring opportunities. These plays can be used after a timeout, at the end of a quarter, before the half or at any time you need a quick shot.
These plays include 24 sideline out-of-bounds plays and an end line out-of-bounds play. Coach Gillespie walks you through each play's action in a 5-on-0 setting and then runs the play in a 5-on-5 live situation. You will get plays that are designed for 3-point and 2-point shots, as well as from the Starburst set, which is widely used throughout the NBA. The plays are set up from various sports all over the court for your team's best shooter and include second options and options for bigs.
Get good, quick shots using this collection of plays from the best minds in basketball.
40 minutes. 2010.
This was an okay video, but I found it lacking in many areas. You will get 15 sideline inbounds plays for 3''s, one baseline inbounds play for 3, 5 sideline inbounds plays from the starburst alignment, and 4 sideline inbounds plays for 2''s. The diagrams are sometimes different than what the demonstrators show you. The diagrams are also labeled with the initials of the NBA players that were in the play when it was scouted. This can be challenging to figure out positions when the video is several years old. The explanation is extremely brief with very little teaching points about how to properly execute it. Some plays have a second scoring option but you are getting a very shallow presentation. You are given zero ideas on how the play can still be successful if the defense takes your main option away. No counters, no alternate scoring options, nothing. With all that said, the other reviewers are right that the initial options are effective and I''m excited to try these plays out and build my own adjustments/counters into them.
1 star reviewer is some kind of jabroni that doesn't know what he's talking about. Who you fooling? Tape is solid. Real, real good. Hand hurts because you're diagramming all the plays-type good, ya know? Don't listen to the knucklehead. Buy the DVD, write em all down and feel real, real good. Now that good feeling will last until about game 5 of your year when youve only used 2 of em and you realize this isn't the nba and there's barely any sideline obs
Could not agree with the first review any less ... this is a great DVD ... these are great plays ...
May be the worst dvd I have ever watched from Championship Productions. Diagrams are presented without any description so you have no sense of timing nor order of the cuts and screens. Camera angle is too tight so you often do not see all five players in the frame when they start. Presenter does not seem sure about what he is asking players to do at times. The title should make clear all the plays except one originate from the sideline and not the baseline.
Great Dvd with alot of good stuff that really works. I put a few of them in my playbook and I can tell U two of them were a winning factor this season. Thanks alot!
